The Opportunity

Olympic Industries is currently searching for a highly motivated, creative, and adaptive Data Developer to join our team!

Reporting to the Head of Derivatives and Data, the Data Developer will work in an individual and team capacity to extract, store, and transform internal data, ensure data integrity, and develop the backend of internal dashboards.

Specific Responsibilities

The Data Developer is responsible for the following as well as other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the company:

• Develop, construct, test, and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.

• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.

• Assist in code optimization in data science and trading projects.

• Trouble shoot and debug automation and scraping program code.

• Assist Full-Stack Data Developer with backend development.

• Work with the Data Team and the Traders to improve in-house web solutions.

Who We’re Looking For

• An academic background in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, or related technical field.

• 1-2 years of experience in writing SQL queries and working with databases, such as MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

• 1-2 years of experience programming in Python frameworks such as Django and Flask.

• Intermediate knowledge of JavaScript.

• Experience in back-end web frameworks such as Node and Express.
